Filing a TEAS Plus application requires the applicant to meet additional requirements. For instance, the description of goods or services must be selected from the
USPTO’s Acceptable Identification of Goods and Services Manual (ID Manual) (available at
http://tess2.uspto.gov/netahtml/tidm.html). Another requirement is that all correspondents received from the USPTO must be accepted by email. If a TEAS Plus application does not meet these requirements, the USPTO will require you to pay an additional $50 in order to continue.
It is also important to remember that if you filed an Intent-to-Use Application, that you will be required to file a statement of use. A statement of use costs $100 per class of goods/services.
