Ms. Callins is an experienced domestic relations attorney. For several years she has represented individuals and families across Northern Virginia, including Fairfax, Arlington and Prince William Counties, and the City of Alexandria. She works with clients to develop practical legal solutions while preserving important family relationships. Her experience includes fault-based divorce, equitable distribution, child and spousal support, international child custody disputes, child support modification for adult children with disabilities, military pensions, and Father’s Rights advocacy, among other areas of family law. A seasoned litigator, Ms. Callins is a passionate and powerful courtroom advocate. Yet she understands that satisfactory solutions can also be reached through less adversarial alternatives, and is experienced in mediation and other collaborative resolution alternatives. With additional experience in the practices of misdemeanor criminal defense and civil litigation, Ms. Callins is able to advise clients on ancillary issues that can influence the course of family law litigation. Ms. Callins is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law, where she earned several honors and distinction as an oral advocate, and Florida A&M University, summa cum laude. She served as a judicial law clerk for the Henrico County Circuit Court and for the Honorable James W. Benton, Jr. (Ret.), Court of Appeals of Virginia. Ms. Callins has also been a middle school teacher for Newport News Public Schools and is the proud daughter of a retired U.S. Air Force officer.
