Paul Ratcliffe
Managing Attorney
Paul Ratcliffe provides expert legal and strategic counseling in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, and technology licensing and transaction law. Mr. Ratcliffe prepares and prosecutes US and PCT patent applications, provides legal opinions on patent and trademark related matters, and handles the negotiation, drafting and closing of patent, technology, and trademark licensing agreements. Paul also handles corporate and technology related matters including teaming and JV agreements, corporate and IP due diligence, purchase agreements, consulting and work for hire agreements, IP rights agreements, and employment agreements including ownership of intellectual property rights and non-competition provisions.
Paul’s experience both as a patent attorney and an in-house attorney of a large company, and as an entrepreneur of a successful start-up provides both legal and real word experiences that he draws upon to help companies and entrepreneurs accelerate their endeavors while minimizing risk. Paul counsels individual entrepreneurs and start-ups through to the Fortune 100.
